Step 1: Site Visit

It all starts with an idea, and Pinnacle Construction is here to help turn your idea into a reality! Once you have decided an ADU is right for you, we will perform a no-cost site visit. During this initial visit we will present you with floorplans of models that specifically fit your site and match your personal design and architectural style. Our goal is to present you with the most cost effective and valuable ADU for your unique property and vision.

Step 2: Model Selection & Budget Plan

Pinnacle Construction takes pride in offering the BEST VALUE in the ADU industry. One of the ways we make this happen is by partnering with an industry leading manufacturer and pricing our models at incredibly affordable rates. Therefore, the homeowner has the ultimate flexibility to do as little or as much as they want. Leaving them with confidence that they are efficiently utilizing every penny of their budget. Pinnacle Construction will provide you a preliminary construction budget based on all your choices. This budget will include, everything required to complete your dream ADU.

*Some permit/development fees and utility costs cannot be determined until after plans are approved by your local building department.

Step 3: Construction Agreement

Pinnacle Construction will prepare an all inclusive construction agreement. This will include every facet of the project from start to finish including any unique additions that you have chosen for your new home. Since Pinnacle Construction acts as your full-service general contractor, we provide all the needed prescreened subcontractors to be sure your project is expertly completed. If you plan to finance your new home, you can simply provide this agreement to your lender of choice.

Step 4: Securing Permits & Building Processes


Pinnacle Construction’s architects and engineers will provide you a custom site plan. Dealing with multiple permitting bodies has afforded Pinnacle Construction a deep understanding of local permitting processes. Every municipality can be a little different, so we have made this our specialty.

Step 5: The Work Begins

Onsite construction and off-site home construction can begin simultaneously. All homes, in the world class manufacturing facility where your home is being built, are rigorously and routinely inspected. These inspections, along with redundant supervision and quality control systems ensure superior construction, meeting or exceeding all building codes and industry standards. Similarly, the onsite construction is inspected before being approved by your local building department. Completing construction of your home can take as little as 10-14 weeks and all that is needed to begin construction is a deposit to place your site in escrow. We will handle the rest!

Step 6: On-site Completion of Your New ADU

Your completed home is then delivered to your site and and can typically be installed on your new foundation within a day. Homes typically arrive with all windows, doors, plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, cabinets, fixtures and appliances already in place, so the finish process is greatly abbreviated. Additional time is required if you have selected specialized finishes or site work such as a garage, deck or landscaping. Finally, one last local inspection and NorCal-ADU will perform a final walkthrough to assure all your expectations have been met before we turn over the keys to your new home!
